At salvation, every believer possesses the full fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control—within their spirit. While the flesh may not always exhibit these qualities, believers can access and manifest them by using their mind, emotions, and will to yield to the Spirit’s influence. This understanding shifts the focus from striving to abide in Christ to utilizing the inherent spiritual fruit for a fruitful Christian life.
